Nepalese and certain non-EU nationals need a visa in order to enter Germany. An overview of visa requirements/exemptions for entry into the Federal Republic of Germany can be found here.

So-called “visa agencies / visa consultancies”:
There is no need to use an “agent” to apply for a visa.
No “visa agent” can:
- influence the outcome.
- fast-track the processing period.
- guarantee you a visa.

The German Embassy in Kathmandu is not related to “visa agents” in any way. They neither work for nor work with the consent of the German Embassy. There is no such thing as “registered visa agent” for Germany.

Their service may be expensive to you, but without any value to your case and certainly in no case will bind the German Embassy in their decision making process. To save money, time and stress: The German Embassy in Kathmandu highly encourages you to book your appointment through the Embassy’s website.

The type of visa you require depends on how long you plan to stay. Are you planning a short visit to Germany, e.g. for a holiday? Or would you like to stay longer, e.g. to attend university?
Please choose how long you are planning to stay.

Short stay - Schengen Visa (maximum of 90 days, e.g. for a holiday or business trip)

Long stay - National Visa (more than 90 days, e.g. to attend university, work or join a family member in Germany)
